A Lot Of Love

guerrillanerd

Don't these orange choc chip cookies look delightful. You can find the recipe here.
Well it is that time of the week again, yes you guessed it, it's time for Much Love Monday. So here are a few things that I love.

The Narnia Series: I am slowly buying all of these books, so in due time I will have all seven of them. When I was little my Dad would read my sister and I a chapter each night and when we got older we started reading them ourselves. I love the world of Narnia where all things are possible, talking animals, nymphs, fauns, they are all so wondrous and exciting. I always wanted it to be real and I suppose a small part of me still does.

Freshly Made Beds: There is nothing better than coming home from a long hard day and getting into your newly made bed. The sheets are so crisp, fresh and smell like laundry powder. If I could I would wash my sheets every day just so they could feel that good all the time.

Getting Letters In The Mail: I love getting letters. People should write letters more often, we just do the easy thing and txt, email or even just facebook the person. What happened to simply writing an old fashioned letter. Sure it's slow but it is ever so exciting receiving something other than a bill.

Tickle Me Pink

It is that time again to join in with Much Love Monday.
I Love:

Dressing up~ On Friday night I went along to an alter ego party. It took me a while to figure out what to wear but in the end I decided on being a nerd. I had high waisted shorts, suspenders, big glasses and freckles. I have to say that is was a very fun night.

My Sunday afternoon playlist~ Yesterday after Church I got home to find nothing to do. So I created a new playlist and then proceeded to fall asleep listening to it. Some of the music was Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Between the Trees, The Temper Trap, The Ember Days and Death Cap for Cutie.

Clean cars~ If you were to ask any of my friends about my car they would tell you that it was a mess, I would have to agree with them about that though. So the other day I had some free time and instead of watching Gilmore Girls I decided to clean my car. I didn't just take all the rubbish out, I vacuumed, dusted and cleaned the outside as well.

What Do You Heart?

This morning I woke up with a great urge to blog. Seeing it was Monday it would be a great idea to write down a few things that I love. If you want to be a part of this loving day, check out Much Love.

I Love:

Road Trips ~ Yesterday three friends and I left our snug little homes to drive to a big city for a conference. Of course I didn't mind leaving home, once I knew there would be a nice drive ahead. We had loud music, bad singing and crazy times in stops along the way. It was uncomfortable and cramped, but heck, I loved every minute of it.

Tea ~ You wouldn't know it, but a couple of years ago I wouldn't touch the stuff. I was more of a coffee drinker, but one day that all changed and I haven't looked back since. Come to think of it I could use a cup right now. [No sugar of course]

Manly Men ~ My friends and I went to this new church last night and what a shock we got. There was the cutest baby crawling around and instead of all the women and single girls cooing and playing with her it was s group of men. They weren't just holding her awkwardly, like most men do, they were playing, cuddling and were all around captivated by her sweet little charms. Ahh what a group of sweeties.

Have a wonderful day.

Oh So Grand

[credit]

Tomorrow is going to be such a joyful day. I know this because I have a day planned with my wonderful Nana. We are spending the day wandering around the city, checking out all the best op shops.

You may think this would sound boring, spending the day with your grandma. But nanas are amazing! They are so warm, sweet and always seem to be able to knit, bake and sew many things. If you have time, even just a minute, I recommend that you phone, mail or text your sweet little granny's and let them know how much you love them.

Much Love Monday

So today seems like the time to join up with Much Love Monday as it's Monday and all.
Here are a few things that I am loving, what about you?

I Love..

Milk ~ There is nothing like a big glass of ice cold milk to start of your day. Personally I would have Milk for breakfast rather than toast or cereal.

Friends ~ My friend and her mother have just offered me a room at their place. It is a little room in a house that is 100 years old [I'm not kidding about the age] and one thing I love about the house is that the front steps are painted Red, Oh joy.

Days off ~ I have been given the day off today. I must say that is was unwillingly given but a day off just the same.

Wedding Bliss

My wonderful mama is getting married this year and I have the privilege of making her wedding cake and invitations. She is marrying the love of her life on the beach and this will be the first time I get to be a bridesmaid. All she wants is a small, simple wedding just with family and close friends. That is totally the opposite of what I want. My wedding day is going to be so full on! But my mamas is going to be lovely as well.
Here are some pictures of the type of cake I will be attempting to make. I just hope I can do it.

These lovelies are from
Martha Stewart's website. Aren't they delightful?
My favorite is the third picture, its has so much detail.

Beautiful Girls

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”-Audrey Hepburn

These words are so wonderful and are great to live by. So many people, especially women, are so focused on looking good all the time and are so focused on their outward appearance. We want to be seen as beautiful, stunning, breathtaking, gorgeous women. But you know what, we are.
Ladies, a simple smile to a stranger will brighten up their day. Take some time to play with a little kid, they will love you forever. Send a friend a hand written letter telling them how amazing they are. All of these little things you can do are so simple but make you and others feel so good.

So friends, today take a little time out of your busy schedule and make a difference to someone you care about.

Laura Ranger -You are a fantastic sister and friend, I look up to you in so many ways and could not wish for a better sister ever.
Amanda Thomas -You are stunning. You are so talented, creative and are such a sweet, caring person.
Katrina Tooley -I love your laugh. When you smile you light up a room. You are a happy, happy person.
Sone Moriarty -How amazing are you. You are so beautiful, giving and super fun. I love living with you and will be sad to go.

Don't you just love the owls and the pretty wallpaper?
